Who we are

A small firm doing large-firm work, on purpose.

We’re sell-side M&A advisors. When a founder decides it’s time to sell their company, recapitalize it, or bring on a partner, we run that process end to end: valuation, positioning, the buyer list, negotiation, close. Our clients are schools, training companies, health and wellness platforms, and software businesses in the knowledge economy.

What makes the job different here is scale. There is no rotating pool of a hundred analysts. You sit with the bankers running the deal, and the model you build is the model that goes to the buyer. You do real work from day one.

We’re a certified B Corporation, we donate 10% of profits, and every person at the firm holds equity. It is why the team has stayed together across two firms and twenty years.

Where
Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, with bankers across the country.
What we sell
Sell-side M&A, recapitalizations, management buyouts, corporate carve-outs.
Who we serve
Founders, family businesses, corporations, and financial sponsors.
How we’re built
Employee-owned, B Corp certified, no majority shareholder.

What happens after you hand us a résumé

Kivanc came through O4U Business ’25, applied, and spent the following summer on live engagements in our Richmond office.

Kivanc Nesanir
Kivanc Nesanir
2026 Summer Analyst · University of Richmond ’27

Kivanc attended the O4U Business Conference in New York in March 2025, one of roughly 350 students selected. He is a dual-degree candidate in Business Administration (Finance) and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, a Richmond Scholar, and a published research assistant. He did not arrive with a traditional banking résumé. He arrived with judgment, and we hired for that.

Over ten weeks he was staffed across four live deals at different stages of the transaction process, from valuation work for pitches to letters of intent and transaction materials, and carried several CIM sections at once. He ran a capstone engagement with a partner: executive summary, data room, operating model, and the client calls that went with it. He rated the program 5 out of 5 on twelve of thirteen measures.

“It probably would have taken them less time to fix the work themselves and quickly incorporate the changes into the master file. However, by pointing out what I could improve, they helped me better understand the work and apply those lessons to my next assignment.”

Summer Analyst Program

What the internship actually looks like

Not a shadowing program. You are staffed on live deals with real deliverables and a name on the work, and you finish with a capstone engagement you run yourself.

Location
Richmond, VA (in person)
Length
Ten weeks, June to August
Compensation
$10,000 stipend
Major / GPA cutoff
None
WEEK ONE
Onboarding

Orientation, tools, a named mentor, and full access to the Wall Street Prep course library. You are staffed on live engagements from the first week, not after a month of training.

THROUGHOUT
Live deal work

You sit on several deals at once, each at a different stage: valuation for a pitch, a letter of intent, CIM sections, comps, buyer lists screened on real criteria. You see the whole process at once rather than one slice of it.

THE CAPSTONE
Your own engagement

You and a partner run a project for an actual founder from kickoff to final materials: executive summary, data room, operating model, and the client calls that go with it.

AT THE END
A written review

You leave with a development summary, a competency-by-competency read on where you’re strong and what to build next, plus an honest conversation about a return offer.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Preparing marketing documents, pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, board presentations, and management presentations.
  • Building valuation analyses: comparable companies, comparable transactions, and discounted cash flows.
  • Conducting financial due diligence and industry research.
  • Supporting senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities.

Alongside the deal work: a named mentor, Wall Street Prep access, Lunch & Learn sessions, one-on-ones with the Managing Director, and a standing invitation to have lunch with anyone at the firm.

We are unable to provide work authorization or visa sponsorship at this time. Full details are on the Summer Analyst posting.
