Her background reflects a broad range of interests, spanning from life sciences to finance. Before earning her MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler, Michaela worked as a research associate in a biotechnology lab and in life science consulting.

A dual citizen of the U.S. and Germany, Michaela is fluent in German and an avid traveler who spent summers visiting family abroad. She was the Captain of the Equestrian Team at NC State University and competed in the first ever National Collegiate Pickleball tournament.
