Navagant advised Shemmassian Academic Consulting on its recapitalization. Shemmassian is a leading provider of consulting services for students seeking admission to top medical schools, medical residency programs, universities and colleges, and other graduate programs, having helped thousands of students gain admission to top medical schools over its 20-year history.

Shemmassian found the right financial sponsor to drive the future growth of the company. This was a highly competitive process. We were thrilled with the result and to have had the opportunity to advise the market leader in medical school admissions consulting.

Navagant advised Medality (formerly MRI Online), the leading SaaS subscription provider of education and practice development solutions for radiologists, on its sale to TrueLearn, a portfolio company of LLR Partners. Medality helps tens of thousands of radiologists from over 100 countries upskill in advanced imaging areas through case-based, microlearning video courses.

Navagant served as exclusive advisor to RAIN Group on its sale to Alchemist, a portfolio company of Horizon Capital. Navagant advised Elsmere Education on its growth investment from Haven Capital Partners and its merger with Human Capital Research Corporation (“HCRC”), forming Human Capital Education. The combined entity provides comprehensive marketing, enrollment, and retention solutions for online university programs, extending Elsmere’s capabilities into Slate and Salesforce, the two leading CRM platforms in higher education.
